Q. Anything else I need to know about Tape-2-Mac?
A. You can't use the tape player with a USB hub, it has to attach directly to your Mac. If your Mac only has the new smaller Thunderbolt ports, you'll also need a simple USB-A to USB-C adapter cable.
You have to attach the USB tape player before you run Audacity, otherwise you'll need to quit and restart Audacity before you can choose the "USB PnP Audio Device".
The first time you try to capture Audio you'll be asked to give permission for Audacity to access the Microphone - you have to say yes.
